Hauser Named Editor of Annals of Neurology
Stephen L. Hauser, MD has been named the Editor of Annals of Neurology, the journal of the American Neurologic Association and the Child Neurology Society. Dr. Hauser is the Robert A. Fishman Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Hauser is a neuroimmunologist and his research focuses on the biology of MS. Dr. Hauser is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Association of Physicians, a member of the Institute of Medicine and serves as an editor of the medical textbook, Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hauser’s term begins January 1, 2006. He succeeds Richard T. Johnson, MD, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, who will complete his second four-year term as Editor of the Annals of Neurology on June 30 and will continue to act as editor during the transition to Dr. Hauser on January 1, 2006.
