Near the time this editorial is published, online readers of Neurology® will be able to access 2 new subspecialty satellite or mini-sites, which will carry articles in a particular topic area. These sites, which can be reached by links from the Neurology home page, will focus on health services topics (Innovations in Clinical Neurology) or global neurology (Without Borders). Both topics are of increasing interest to our readers and importance to our field, but our volume does not yet merit a full subspecialty spin-off journal. Curated by an expert in each area, the mini-sites will feature new articles published in Neurology or one of its spin-off journals, and occasional blogs, commentaries, and interviews with experts to accompany these articles. The mini-sites will also list links to articles already published in Neurology in these areas. Our hope is that by providing readers (and authors) with a place to read material of interest in their specific field, we will contribute to the growth of research, and will be the beneficiary of an increase in submissions; ultimately, if there is enough interest, we may consider launching journals in these areas.
