Basal ganglia infarct volume was linked to susceptibility vessel sign (Beta=0.233, p=0.006) and NIHSS (Beta=0.220, p=0.012), when controlling for total infarct volume.Conclusions: Greater basal ganglia infarct volume was associated with a higher risk of HT when accounting for infarct volumes in other regions.
