In multivariate regression models adjusting for age, sex, brain parenchymal fraction, and cord CSA, MRI indices independently explained variability in dynamometry(p-values:FA=0.11, MD<0.01,λ⊥<0.01,λ||=0.02,MTR=0.06) and EDSS(p-values:FA<0.01,MD<0.01,λ⊥<0.01,λ||=0.22,MTR=0.04).Conclusions: Multiparametric MRI indices show moderate to strong correlations with motor dysfunction and EDSS and provide important information on the microstructural basis of limb dysfunction in MS.
